Having successfully shot the content for the original Project Carbon X in 2019, our team was asked to take lead on the sequel, Project Carbon X2 in early 2021. This was a HOKA-sponsored event where ultramarathon runners competed to break the 100k world record to complement the release of a newly updated carbon-fiber racing shoe, the Carbon X2. We traveled to work with US athletes in five different states and coordinated remotely with teams in Canada, Norway, France, and Japan due to COVID-19 to create a cohesive final product.
